Hi!!! My name is Laura Widhalm & I am the founder of Fork & Finance.
I grew up immersed in the restaurant business, as my family operated a successful eatery in downtown Tempe, Arizona, for 25 years. Adjacent to the ASU campus, the restaurant became my classroom, where I learned the ins and outs of running a business from a young age.
Building on this foundation, I worked in various roles managing A/P, A/R, payroll, and reconciliations before founding Widhalm Bookkeeping, llc in 2022 & Fork & Finance in 2024. My passion for helping businesses thrive led me to this entrepreneurial venture.
In addition to my business pursuits, I have been an active contributor to non-profit boards, currently serving as Vice President of a charter school collaborative board in Denver and previously as President of another charter school board for three years. My experience includes overseeing non-profit financials, creating budgets, and guiding their implementation.
I have worked with a diverse range of clients, including convenience stores, gas stations, restaurants, HOA management companies, farms and ranches, plumbing/HVAC companies, wildlife/pest control businesses, and tutoring facilities. My goal is to help each client realize their business's potential.
Living in a small town just south of Denver, Colorado, my family and I are serial entrepreneurs who enjoy creating new businesses. We teach our daughters the values of hard work, dedication, and a servant’s heart. In my free time, I love camping, riding horses, and listening to thunderstorms. I am also active in my church and participate in mission trips, always giving glory to God.
